Since 1994, American Freight has been helping customers save money on quality furniture and mattresses. We buy direct from manufacturers and sell direct in warehouse style stores. By cutting out the middle man and keeping our overhead costs low, we can offer quality, new furniture and mattresses at the lowest prices. American Freight offers same day delivery on all in-stock items and flexible payment options.
Is Sears Outlet closing?
No! The name on the outside of Sears Outlet stores have changed to American Freight, but the stores are thriving and continue to operate, but with expanded product offerings. We’ll still offer our same vast appliance assortment but with the added benefit of an expanded furniture and mattress assortment at incredible prices.
Why did Sears Outlet rebrand to American Freight?
For over 50 years Sears Outlet has been a market leader when it comes to quality, brand-name appliances at low prices. American Freight has enjoyed similar success in the furniture and mattress category. We’re combining that cumulative value under one roof to provide consumers a one-stop-shop for their favorite brands in appliances, furniture, and mattresses.
How will this impact me as a Sears Outlet customer?
While you were always able to find a broad assortment of quality, take-it-home-today appliances, now you will also have access to quality furniture and mattresses at low prices. You will also be able to get same-day delivery on all appliances, furniture and mattresses.* Meanwhile, customers can continue to experience fully trained, knowledgeable sales associates who can help you find the right product you need, along with the flexible payment option that works best for you.
What do we sell?
We sell what you’ll need to outfit your entire house with quality, name-brand items. Mattresses and furniture items come brand new direct from the manufacturer, keeping prices low. We also have a mix of new, out of carton and slightly imperfect name-brand appliances. These imperfect appliances all pass a stringent and thorough testing and certification process before being sold in our stores. In addition, most carry the same manufacturer’s warranties as new, in-box items.
What has changed?
The primary difference between what you experienced at Sears Outlet and what you will experience at the new American Freight is the deep value spread across an even more diverse array of merchandise. For former Sears Outlet locations, the in-store environment has changed to more closely resemble existing American Freight stores. This enables us to keep overhead costs down so we can offer quality products at the lowest prices possible.
Can I still shop online?
Yes, you can still shop online for brand-name appliances, as well as furniture and mattresses. You can buy online and have products shipped to your home, in addition to being able to pick up in stores. Our new website is www.americanfreight.com
Where are our stores?
By combining nearly 130 Sears Outlet stores with the more than 170 American Freight locations across the United States, you will be able to get access to our unparalleled depth of merchandise and value in roughly 300 stores nationwide (including Hawaii and Puerto Rico).
Is Sears Outlet part of Sears?
No. Both Sears Outlet and the new American Freight are completely separate entities from Sears and Sears’ parent company TransformCo.
